The National House Project and Care Leavers National Movement are a member of The British Youth Council, a youth-led charity who empower young people across the UK to have a say and be heard.
The British Youth Council empower young people aged 25 and under to influence and inform the decisions that affect their lives. They support young people to get involved in their communities and democracy locally, nationally and internationally, making a difference as volunteers, campaigners, decision-makers and leaders.
The National House Project encourages young people to be at the heart of decision making, we know that making your own decisions is empowering and encourages the sense of ownership - both key aspects of our psychological informed framework. Now we have joined The British Youth Council our young people can influence decision making not just in House Projects and for care leavers, but for young people across the country.
We look forward to working together to empower young people to find their voice and provide platforms for them to be heard.
